and the region of Champagne
!
This diversity, which is one of the strengths of our appellation, is the founding principle of the association La Transmission – Femmes en Champagne . We were brought together by a passion for our great wines as well as the desire to share and pass on the richness of our beloved Champagne region.
Who are we? 9 women owners and leaders in Champagne. We chose to compose our organisation in a way that mirrors the Champagne ecosystem, and that highlights the women’s commitment . Our Houses and estates are located from North to South of the appellation, vary in size and structure, just like our journeys, some which began a long time ago and some more recently.
And yet we are very much connected, first by the values we share: the love for the history of our region , and that of our families and our estates ; the importance of the vineyards ; the desire to promote the Champagne appellation ; a pride in practicing our profession. And by a common goal: to transmit a living, rich, diversified knowledge of Champagne to others. This trough the technical experience of the workshops and through the discussions resulting from these encounters.
